“The lessons are very informative and the teachers would always check on us during lessons as well as beyond lesson times to make sure we are able to understand the concepts and be able to catch up.

Other than paying attention to our academics, the teachers also take note of our well-being and show us lots of care and concern.

At times, the students in class would also ask in depth questions, which help to clarify some of my doubts as well as give me a chance to think about certain questions that I would not have thought about.

Lessons can be serious but fun, such that I am still able to gain and learn at every lesson while having fun.”

Unfortunately we had made the mistake of not starting him on tuition much earlier last year so he’s only caught up with his fundamentals recently. "Ms Hong’s kindness, care and love throughout these sessions have made a big difference not only to my Physics results, but also nurtured me as a person to learn how to love a subject and work hard for it"

“I have always had a burning interest for physics from Secondary 1 to 2. However, the 3rd and 4th year doing physics was not as easy as I thought it would be. My grades had plummeted to D7 and this result continued with slight improvement throughout my years in Secondary 3 and 4. My Secondary 4 prelim results for Physics was D7. This was when I decided to engage a physics tutor to improve and push up my grades. I came across Ms Jasline Hong during this tough physics time and she indeed was an inspiration and motivation for me. Ms Hong was patient in guiding, explaining and teaching us the method of applying physics concepts to different questions. Ms Hong never failed to give us individual attention and focus, walking around, asking and helping us when we had difficulties.

Ms Hong’s love and knowledge for physics influenced me greatly. Ms Hong makes the effort to engage us during her lesson, encouraging participation and contribution from her students. Besides these, Ms Hong’s notes are very comprehensive and to the point, such that learning and understanding takes place easily. Also, her questions that she prepared for us, be it for MCQ or open-ended, has really helped me to better apply, as well as equip myself with the necessary physics skills to tackle the physics questions comfortably. Although I had a mere 11 lessons with Ms Hong, I managed to improve drastically from D7 to a B3. Ms Hong’s kindness, care and love throughout these sessions have made a big difference not only to my Physics results, but also nurtured me as a person to learn how to love a subject and work hard for it.”
